“Now to him who is
able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the
power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
Don’t you love it when scripture jumps off the page and right
into your circumstances?! I am so excited
to announce that our home has been rented
for the full eight months while we are serving in Mongolia!! We didn’t just find any renters, the Lord
found a family that said that they prayed and felt like God told them to live
at our place. We even get to leave the
house furnished (Caroline’s room included!) so we don’t have to move out and pay
for a storage unit. Talk about the Lord
being able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think!!
Pray
with me: “Jesus, thank you for your provision.
Thank you for this sweet family that listens to your voice. Bless and protect them in our home and
provide for all of their needs as they relocate to Dallas.”
In this process of walking out in obedience to the Lord, I
am realizing that it is the grace of God to ask us to do something we couldn’t
do on our own strength. The stranger the
assignment is that God gives you, the easier it is to see his hand at work in
what’s going on. As much as I’d like our
life to be predictable and safe, I’m learning that it’s harder to worship the Lord
in the predictable times. It’s too easy
for me to take the credit when times are easy.
Father,
forgive me for the ways I have taken your provision for granted in the
past. Thank you for your mercy to assign
us something too difficult for us to do on our own; for displaying your Glory
and Power in every detail of this challenging assignment. Thank you that NOTHING is too difficult for
you!
I will forever get to look back on this adventure and see
how the Lord intricately put the pieces of our journey together. I will always have these examples of how God
goes out of his way to take care of our every need. He is breaking off the chains of a lifetime
of worry and anxiety each time he comes through for us!
“…My grace is
sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will
boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may
rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
